Final Statement Of The Jury Of The 19th Cairo International Festival For Experimental Theatre 2007
The Jury of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre was composed as follows: The International Jury watched the period from the 1st to the 11th of September 2007 a number of performances that amounted to (25) presented by various groups representing (23) countries taking part in the official contest of the festival.
In (8) meetings, the jury discussed exensively the performances participating in the official contest. It voted in the final meeting on the nominees for rach of the Six awrds and it is now my pleasure, on behalf of all the jury members, to announce the winners of the awards as well as the nominees:
Award for Best Performance ******** For this award, the jury nominated the following performances: - Show Cola Presented by The National Theatre- Syria - The Wall presented by Fingers Theatre- Georgia - Bread and Plays Presented by Slovak Vojvodina-Serbia
The award goes to : Show Cola Presented by The National Theatre- Syria
Award for Best Directing ***** For this award, the jury nominated the following: - Hyoungtaek Limb the director of Medea Presented by Seoul Factory for the Performing Arts-Korea - Miroslav Benka the director of Bread and Plays Presented by Slovak Vojvodina – Serbia - Abdu Allah Dialo the director of Retreat Presented by Balika Theatre- The National Theatre- Guinee

Award for Best Actress ***** And the winner is : - Rouqiatou Camara for her role in Retreat Presented by Balika Theatre – The National Theatre – Guinee who has won this award unanimously .
Award for Best Actor ***** For this award, the jury nominated the following: - Sayed Ragab for his role in F**k Darwin, or how I’ve Iearned to love sociaialism - Presented by The Montenegrin National Theatre - Mohammed Sylla for his role in Retreat Presented by Balika Theatre – The National Theatre – Guinee - Khalel Nusairit for his role in The Captives Presented by The Ministry of Culture- Jordan

Award for Best Ensemble ****** For this award, the Jury nominated: - Thoughts in my Mind Presented by The Anfoushy Cultre Club – The General Organization of Culture Palaces – Egypt - Morosophus Presented by The Dramatic Theatre – Poland - The Wall Presented by Fingers Theatre- Georgia

The jury would like to thank the groub of interpreters who exerted so much effort so that the task of the jury would be accomplished effectively .
And finally the jury salutes all the performing groups and thanks them for all the enthusiasm, energy and courage which they showed us in the festival. It also thanks the administration. May it be strengthened and encouraged by the growing success of this event which also serves to promote mutual understanding, respect and creativity among the nations of the world .
