Got his Ph.D in the theory of drama and criticism from the university of Southern Illinois in 1965. Dean of the theatre College, Florida University (1982-1999); during that period, the college got classified as one of the top colleges offering distinguished programs in the field of theatre. President of the great number of institutions and foundations whose concern is teaching theatre studies. Member of the ITI worldwide. Authored a lot of researches and books on theatre criticism. Directed dozens of performances for different university theatre companies; amongst such performances are Dracula (1966), Birthday Party (1970),Who Is Afraid Of Virginia Wolf ? (1977), Othello (1992), Arcadia (1997), And Uncle Vania (2004). Received many awards and was elected as a fellow in the American Theatre College lifelong. He is one of the best 100 pioneers in American Theatre
Studied law in the Cairo University, but he kept on through salf-learning .He used to sign his work by” Selim”. Director of the most important art gallerier in Egypt, he was also the Cultural and Artistic Consultant to the administration of the Czechoslovakia Cultural Centre (1967-1974). Has organized several art exhibitions since 1966. He is also a biographer and curator. Took part in about 150 art exhibitions in Egypt and such foreign countries as Tunisia, France, The U.S,Germany ,… Founder of the “100 Chairs Experimental Theatre “Which lasted for eight seasons (1968-1974). Co-founder of the first Egyptian Festival for short movies and documentaries .He is also the precursor of the international Bienale of Cairo. Member of the Arts Committee of the supreme Council Culture and the Jury of Al Sharjah Beinale and Al –Ain Beinale(U.A.E). Published many articles and researches on art, literature and criticism. Authored a number of books such as Seven Articles on Art (1999) and A Biography and Portrait of the Egyptian Artist, Mustapha Ar-Razzaz (1998). Introduced the experimental monodrama in the art galleries in Egypt in 1968 .He was also the first to introduce the playing of live classical music in the Egyptian art galleries in 1976. Received many prizes, awards and orders such as the Grand Prix of the Beinale of the Mediterranean countries (1973), the order of Cavalier from the French Government (1886), the medal of Art from the queen of Denmark (1986), the award of the Egyptian Ministry of culture (1997) and others.
A playwright, director, actor, researcher, and professor of theatre arts. Studied in India and got his PhD in 1984. Teacher of Indian Fiction, contemporary poetry, frminist theatre, acting and narrative theatre. Wrote several plays such as Kohinoor (1998), Letter from God (2000)and Vanaprastham (2002). Directed many performance; amongst them are :Macbeth (1991),Waiting for Godot (1992),Adventures of tom Sawyer (1993) and others Taught English and theatre arts later in a lot of universities. Member of a lot of committees in arts foundations. Authored many books and published a great number of articles on theatre . Received various awards such as the Playwrights’ Award from the British Council
- A critic ,editor writer and professor of literature and theatre . -Studied in the University of Tokyo from which he got his degrees. - A researcher in the domain of theatrical studies. -Took part in the organization of Tokyo Theatre and worked for some time as an assistant to Tadashi Suzuki ,director of one the most important theatre companies in Japan. - Co-founded “Munks “: aquqrterly specializing in theatre criticism and theatre Arts “magazine and other publications on arts. - Worked as an editor and critic in a lot of journals and periodicals an theater. a number of his articles have been published in world magazines. - Associate professor in the department of Arts and Literature in the University of Tokyo.
A writer, director, and professor at la Sorbonne, Paris. Authored many books, and studies on theatre, cinema, and culture. Directed about 30 plays since he started his career. Took part in various conferences and seminars on theatre both in France and abroad.

A Writer , researcher , translator , professor of theatre studies, and director of the Institute for Studies in Theatre Art in the central Academy of Drama , Beijing. Got his B.A in English in 1982 from the Beijing second Institute of Foreign languages , then he proceeded with studying until he received a PH.D from the university of birminggam in 1989. Organized the International Theatre showcase , Beijing in 1998, 2000 and 2002 , hosted numerous visiting artists from all over the world and visited a number of theatre festivals in the U.K finland , Russia and slovakia. Has written a lot of studies , researches and papers. Amongst such writings are : Brecht , Meyrhold , and Stanislavski (1998) , New Methods, new forms, new Horizons and new Answers (2000) Two theatres in One World (2001) , Beg World and small theatre (2002) and many others. Amongst his creative works are: bootleg faust , a play presented in June 2000, and the City , a dance performance script , performed in September 2000. Obtained a number of scholarships and awards such as the British Council Scholarships (1983 – 1985) , the “distinguished young professor in beijing” award (1993) and the Chinese state council special Grant for contribution to culture and Art (1996).
A theatre critic and professor of French language and literature. Got his ph. D degree in 2000 from the Department of French studies , University of Montreal. Practiced several activities related to the domain of theatre criticism : a member of the Quebec Society for theatre Criticism AQCT and took part as a member either in a lot of juries in theatre contests. Authored many articles and published them in various periodicals and magazines such as Critique du monde and L Annuaire theral.
A distinguished actress and director. Played the leaking roles in a lot of performances directed by Carmelo Bene such as Hamlet (1968) , Hamlet (1975) , I Mansadieri (1977) , A Dolls’ House (1980) , she kept on working in his performances and they presented recently Le trachinie (2003) , she has been collaborating with him in managing “teatro Vascello” since 1989. Got his ph.D from the Uio di janeivo university and he is currently a visiting professor in one of the Portuguese universities after spending so long t5ime in theaching directing and acting in the Uio di Janeiro University. Authord a book entitled: panorama of the20th Century and many plays suvh as Se chovese , voos estrahavan todos (cowriter with Tania Pacheco) which received a number of awards . his sast psay is De Getlio , ahistria de un mito. Directed several performance : some of them are Lorca s’ Women ,Endgame, and Antigone. Took part as a jury member in a great number of theater festivals and contests in Brazil and Portugal. A critic in P Dia and P Globe newspapers.

Founder of September Koninkjes Festival for the new Theatre. Member of the international jury of the National Theatre Festival of Hungary (2003).
A writer , actor director and manager of the Algerian national theatre. Played so many roles in radio series during the period from 1963 to 1966. Joined the National theatre in Algeria in 1966. Took part as an actor in various works created by such great arab and international writers as Kateb Yasseen , Aly Salen , Mahmoud Diab , At –taher Wattar , Shakespeare , Goldoni , Amongst the works he directed are Hasnaa wa Hassan (1974) , Stop (1974), Fatema (1990),…. Co – founded Al- Qal a’ theatre company. Received lots of prizes and grants.
