Jeronimo Lopez Mozo

-Playwright, critic, writer and theorist.

-Wrote many articles for Spanish, European and Latin American theatre magazines.

-Interested in the phenomenon of the North Africa's Arabs to the European continent. He focuses on the problems they face in mingling in the Spanish Society.

-Wrote a play that has an Arabic title: "Ahlan"

(Welcome) in which he dealt with the problem of the

Arabs? immigration to Europe.

-Won the Spanish Patriotic Prize in dramatic literature

in 1998 for writing "Ahlan ".

-Honored by the Festival of the contemporary Spanish

playwrights in 2006.

-Published more than forty plays and directed many of them.

-Published numerous studies on theatre in The World Theatre Magazine.

-Interested in the theatre of Old Egypt and the Arab

theatre in particular TawfikAl Hakim.

-Member of many of the National and World Theatre

-Acted in many roles for cinema, television and theatre.

- In cinema he acted in "The Man who Defied the Devil" in 2007, in 2003 "Omen", in 2000 "Three Stories in Bahya" and "Brava" in 2000.

- For TV, he performed in "The Messenger" in 2006, and for theatre, he played in "Hamlet" in 1984, "The Taste of Passion" in 2001, "The Hero" 1996 and "The Wall" 2000.

- Earned many prizes such as The Best Actor Award for

his role in 'Antigone" in 1962.

- The Stado De Sao Paolo newspaper awarded him the

SOA prize for theatre.

- Won the prize of the best director for directing "The Window" and the Moliere award from Air France Theatre.

- APCA prize for best Directing from Globo TV.

- In 1995 the Mink Theatre awarded him "Mambembe

Award" for directing "The Pearl".

- In 1998 he earned the 'Zumiere" International Award

Aziz Khayyoun (Iraq)

Fardos Abd Al Hamid

(Egypt)

-A renowned actress in theatre, cinema and television.

-Graduated from The High Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1969.

-Studied in the vocal department in The High

Institute of Conservatory.

-Appointed in the Egyptian National Theatre and

participated in twenty plays.

-Has a distinguished history in theatrical acting.

Some of her eminent plays, "Al Hussein

Thaeran" ,Al Nar Wa Al Zaytoon" ,'Al Gins Al

Talet"), "Matlouf" , "Al Eskafeya Al Ageiba"

"Phedre ; "Bab Al Fotouh ; "Al Faris Wa Al

Aseera",'Antigone ; and "Macbeth".

-Played the lead role in almost 35 TV series. -Participated in 13 movies such as: 'Al Ganna

That Kadameiha'; "Kowkab Al Shark", "Al

Touk Wa Al Eswera'; and "Al Bo'asaa ". -Represented Egypt in numerous Arab and

International festivals and conferences such as: -Damascus International Festival

Krzysztof Najbor

Poland

 

- Graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1985.

- Founder of "The Avant-garde Vitcaciti Theatrical Company" in 1984 in collaboration with Juke; the company's manager and his wife; actress Fitson.

- His company is considered the expansion of a legacy of all the Reformation Movements in Poland (Grotoviski, Contor, Shanya...). Nowadays, it represents the most important avant-garde theatre in Poland.

- Lead actor in the "Avant-garde Vitcaciti Theatrical Group" as he applies the usage of body angles in the composition of the theatrical space.

- Taught several courses such as: "The Composition of the Performer's Body", "The Relationship between the Performer and The Theatrical Space: Open and Close" and "Mine" in The Institute of Theatrical Arts for both Professionals and amateurs.

- Responsible for training a group of youths using non-traditional avant-gardist theatrical technique applying the approaches of "Stanslaveski, Grotovoski, Contor and Barba ".

- Lead Actor in many performances such as:

- "Graf Franz Von Talik" in the Avant-gardist
playwright; Vitcatsi's "The Pragmatics" in 1984.

- "Sigismondo" in Caldirom's "Life is Just a Dream" in 1985.

- "Mephistopheles" in "The Tragedy of Dr. Faustus"

by Christopher Marlowe in 1986.

- "The Rich Man" in the play of "The Theatre of the

Big World" in 1986.

- "Oedipus" in Sophocles' "Oedipus, The King" in 1987.

- "Paris" in "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller in 1995. - "Duncan" in William Shakespeare's "Macbeth - A Scottish Tragedy".

- In 1990, he directed his first play; "The Devil in Love" which he scenographed and adapted based on the theatrical texts by Shtawdenger.

- In 1998, he directed the avant-garde thatrical performance "Piaf--Piaf" and in 2006, the experimental performance "Rumble" which was a collage of poems of the contemporary Polish poem Z. Heerbet.

- Won the Grand Prize for acting the role of "Duncan" in "Macbeth - A Scottish Tragedy" in the Festival of Theatre in Budapest, in 1998.

- Best Actor Award for the role "Tago" in the Festival of the Avant-garde Theatre in Prague in 1990.

- Best Performance Award for the performance of "Barabarz" in the Festival of the Polish Theatre in 2008.

- Won the Grand Prize for Directing "Mazeba" in 2001.

- Best Directing Award in the Festival of the

Independent Theatre in Sweden in 2006.

- A Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ministry of

Culture and National Heritage.


 

 

Martine Beaulne

(Canada)

-Actress, director and professor.

- Received her Diploma in Theatrical Arts in 1975.

- Played and directed more than twenty five

performances in Quebec - Canada, France and

Africa.

- Acted in many distinguished productions in collaboration with "Le Theatre de Gens den Bas" (The Theatre of the Underground People), "Le Nouveau Theatre Experimental" (The New Experimental Theatre), "Le Theatre Populaire du Quebec" (The Popular Theatre of Quebec), et "Le Theatre du Nouvea Monde" (The Theatre of the New World).

- Collaborated with the dance group "Bultoh Daisakudakan", "The Tenkei Theatre and Master Nognuchi in Japan, with Giovanni Poli in Italy and with Eugenio Barba in Denmark.

- Played remarkable roles in many performances such as: The Danial of Arnold Wesker by Jean Duceppe 2009 (Le Deni d'Arnold Wesker), John Patrick Shanley's The Doubt (Le Doute), Caryl Churchill's The Blue Heart in 2006, Slyvie Drapeau's and Isabelle Vincent's "The Swallowing of the Sea and the Fish" (Avaler le Mer et les Poisons), Caryl Churchill's "Top Girls", Lorca's "The Prodigious Shoemaker" (La Savetiere Prodigieuse), Louise Bombradien's "The City of the Wolves" (La Cite des Loups), Michelle Magny's "the Square of the Sky" (Un Carre de Ciel), Moliere's "Don Juan" (Don Juan), "Romeo and Juliette"; Larry Tremblay's "Ogre"; Marie-Line Laplante's "A Spot on the Moon" (Une Tache sur la Lune), and Kundera's "Jack and his Master" (Jacques et son Maitre)

- Professor in the High School of Theatre of LUQAM since 1993.

- Member of the Arts' Council in Canada and the Art

Council and Literature in Quebec.

- Won the Quebec Price Academy of Theatre.

- Published a big collection of essays on directing.

- Won the Prize of Victor-Barbeau de lAcademie des

Lettres du Quebec" for directing "Le Passeur

Mohamed Bin Kattaf

Algeria

-Actor in the National Algerian Radio from 1963 to 1966.

- Acted in more than 85 plays from the National and World Repertoire.

- Earned the Best Actor Award - The National

Festival of Professional Theatre in 1986.

- Translated and adapted more than 25 plays.

- Awarded the First Prize in Cartage Festival twice

in 1987 for his role in "The Martyrs Returned this

Week" a play based on a novel by Al Taher

Wattar, and in 1989 for his play "Al Eita ".

- Directed many performances such as "Goha and the

People"; "Raise the Curtain" and "The Exercise".

- Founder of the Citadel Theatre in 1989.

- Held a writing workshop in Limoge - France in

1994 and in 1995 in Montalvo Villa in San

Francisco.

- Participated in National and International

Festivals as an actor, writer and director.

- Selected as a Head of Jury in many National and

International           Festivals          such    as     the

Euro-Mediterranean Festival in Seidi Belabbas.
- A jury member in the Cairo International Festival

for Experimental Theatre in 2004.

- President of the National Festival of Professional

Theatre since 2005 till the present time.

- Advisor of the Theatre Circle of Algeria as the

capital of the Arab Culture in 2007.

- President of Theatre Sector in the Second African

Cultural Festival in Algeria - 2009.
