- Researcher, critic, director, and professor of theater

- Director of the Argentinean and Latin American Art History Institute, College of philosophy and Letters, Universidad de Buenos Aires.

-  Founder and director of GETEA (Argentinean theater Studies Group) and director of Teatro XXI.

- Has been Visiting professor at the Universities of Montreal Valencia, Alcala de henares, Trieste, and the Universidad de la Republica (Uruguay).

- His numerous publications focus on literary theory nand criticism and Argentinean and Latin American Theater.

- Has directed plays written by national and international authors.

- Obtained several awards for his distinguished works.

Mario prosperi (Italy)

-playwright, director, and actor.

-Got his phD in theater history from New York University.

-Contributing editor of the Drama Review (1975 – 1980).

- Co- founder of CUT of Rome, cooperated with Giovampietro in writing scripts for stage.

- Co- founded in 1973 Il politecnico Theater where new playwrights and contemporary groups are regularly performing.

-Wrote and acted in many plays such as Zio Mario, Il perisdente, Nadja, L islamico, Samarinda and other.

-Preparing a performance in which a number of Arab actors will take part to be one of the entries of the 19th Cairo International festival for Experimental Theater (2007).

Alexandra Gorska  (Poland)

- actor, director, and professor of acting.

-Obtained two MAs in acting in 1960 and in directing in 1978.

-Played the leading roles in numerous performances staged by the most distinguished national theatrical companies in Poland.

Took part in several performances presented on the stages of the "Cities of the New Polish- Avant- garde Theater" Among those performances are Hamlet, As You Like It, and Don Carlos.

Directed plays based on some polish literary texts.

Has been teaching acting courses in the most prestigious theater academies in Poland and Europe.

Obtained several awards, among which are: Award for Best Actress from the Shakespearean Theater Festival held in Poland in 1988, Award for Best Actess from the Polish Avant- garde Theater Festival in 1989, and the Grand prix from the polish government

Arlette Tephany  (France)

-Director and actress.

-Studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur d' Art Dramatique.

-Took part in many plays staged by jeune Compagnie La Guilde in the 1950s. Among those performances are LE ROI JEAN (1956) SYLVIA (1957) and L' AVARE.

-Co- founded in 1963 le theatre de l est parisien in collaboration with Guy Retore, she played the leading roles in numerous performances presented by that theater company, amongst them are  LES CAPRICES DE MARIANNE, LA LOCANDIERA, and MAJOR BARBARA.

Joined later one of the most inthusiastic independent theater groups, theater in Liberte founded in 1974, she directed many plays staged by that group such as  LE MARIAGE DE FIGARO, LA TEMPETE, LES NONNES, AND FIN DE SIECLE,

-Co- directed  Le theater La Limousine, Centre Dramatique National du Limousine with which she presented, as a director, several performances such as L ILIAD, FRAGMENTS D,UN PARADIS, LE PRIX MARTIN, and L' ILLUSION COMIQUE.

Zhao Yaomin   (China)

 

-Playwright and professor of theater.

-Obtained his BA from the Department of Dramatic Literature at the Shanghai Theater Academy and then his MA from theDepartment of Drama History and Theory at th Nanjing University.

-Visiting professor at the Shanghai Theater Acadey, member of the Chinese Dramatists Association, director of Chinese Modern Dram Academic Society, and director of Shanghai Writer Association.

-Has been teaching skills of writing plays since 1985.

-Started his career as a playwright and screenplay writer for cinema and theater in 1981; among the plays he wrot are the Genius and Madman (1984) Original sin (1986) Alarm Clock (1990) the Lost Opera (1997) and the Last night of Taipan Jin (2003).

-Has taken part in numerous festivals, seminars, conferences, and cultural events held in China and abroad.

Got several awards such as the Chinese Drama Golden Lion prize (1997), the Shanghai Youth Prize in Literature for his play the Genius and the Madman, and the7th Tian Han Chinese play prize for his work Midnight Mood.

Salah al-Qassab   (Iraq)

-Playwright, director, and professor of theater.

-Has directed so many plays such as King Lear, The Tempest, The Caretaker, The Maids, and Uncle Vania.

-Has been teaching theatrical arts and got such academic posts as the associate dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the chair of the Department of acting at the same faculty, and he is currently a visiting professor at the Saladin University in  Kurdistan. He also supervised the theses of 28 MA candidates and 32 phD scholars.

Organized theater workshops in a number of Arab countries such as Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Algeria, Romania, and the UK.

-Took part as a jury member in Carthage Festival in Tunisia and the Jordanian Theater Festival.

Amongst his publications are Masrah al-sura bayna al-nathareyya wa al-tatbiq (Image Theater between Theory and Application) and jamaleyyat al- makan ifi al- ard al- masrahi ( Aesthetics of Space in Performance)

Antoine Multaqa   (Lebanon)   

- playwright, actor, and professor of theater.

-Got his BA in philosophy from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut in 1956 and also obtained a DEA in theater from the University of paris VIII in 1972.

-Taught at the Department of Acting at the Lebanese University and chaired it (1965- 1996).

-Amongst the performances he directed are Macbeth, Oedipus rex Antigone, Blood Wedding, Caligula, and Richard III.

-Played the leading roles in numerous theater and TV works.

-Produced several performances staged by Halaqat al- Masrah al- lubnani group of which he was the artistic director for years.

-Has taken part in so many festivals, seminars, and conferences with papers on the Lebanese Theater, among those cultural events are the Modern Arab Teater Conference geld in Tunisia in 1965, the Damascus Festival for Theater Arts in 1971, and the Conference on Theater in the Third World held in Shiraz, Iran in 1973.

-Founded a number of theater groups and studios for actors, training, He is also the founder of the Rashana Theater Festivals in Lebanon (1962) and al-Ashrafiyya Theater (1965) and he was one of the designers of the Mar Mikhail Cultural center – Maron al- Naqqash Theater (1980).

-Paid tribute by different associations and institutions such as the Construction and Development Society (1999), the NBN Satellite Channel (2004) and the Fine Arts Institute (2004)

Ruth Maleczech (USA)

-playwright, director, and actress.

-Founding co-artistic director of Mabou Mines. She has collaborated, since 1970, on almost every company work.

-Received OBIE awards for Vanishing pictures which she directed; for performance in Hajj; for Through the Leaves; and for Lear.

-Won Villager Awards for her direction of Wrong Guys as well as for her performance in Hajj.

-Played the leading roles with Mabou Mines such as Madame Curie in Dead End Kids, Mae Garga in Brecht's jungle of the Cities, and the title role in Mother.

-directed a number of plays with Mabou Mines; amongst them are the bribe and Suenos.

-Outside of Mabou Mines, she has created with Valeria vasilevski fire Works, performed in peter Sellars production of Zangesi; The Screens directed by joAnne Akalaitis; in Henry IV; and in Happy Days, she also appeared in numerous feature films and on Television.

-At New York Theater Workshop, she collaborated with joAnne Akalaitis on a stage adaptation of jean Genet's prisoner of Love.

The name of Abu Bakr Ezzat   (Egypt)

- Distinguished actor.

-Graduated from the faculty of Arts in 1985 and from the Higher Institute in 1959.

- Started his career as an actor while he was a high-school and university student.

- Played the leading roles in more than forty stage performances such as Qasr al-Shouq, al-Ard, Maqaleb Mahrous, and al-Dabbour (that was really a hit when presented on stage in 1964), al-Mofattesh al-aam, al-Bijama al-Hamra, afreet al-settat, Bye Bye, Meen yeaned sett, al-Dokhoul belmalabess al-Rasmeyya, al-alma pasha, and Sa'doun al-Magnoun.

- Took part in about 55 feature films and in numerous TV series.

- Obtained several awards such as the Egyptian Theater Day Award, Tunisia Theater Festival Award, and the Best Actor Award from the Cairo international Film Festival (1996) for his role in the Egyptian movie al-Mar'a wa al-Satour.
