The Honored honor in the 16th cairo International festival for Experimental Theater

A renowned theatre, movie, and TV actress. Took part in about 60 distinguished theatre performances. Played the leading roles in several TV series since 1963 until now. One of the most successful stars of the Moroccan Radio, she presented about 3500 works over many years. Participated in a mumber of movies such as: Sarreq Al- Ahlam (Robber of Dreams), Al- Bahth ann Zawg Emra’ aty (Looking for My Wife s’ husband), As- Sayyeda Al- Hurra (free Lady) and Abwaab al – janna (paradise gates).
Worked as an editor and theatre critic for several newspapers and magazines such as: The Times Educational Supplement (1956-1989) , the Observer (1959-1963) the Times (1973-1976) Contributed occasionally to : the New York times, the Los Angeles Times, Theatre Australia, the New Leader, the Sunday Telegraph, The Dictionary of National Biography. His publications are: the theatres of Gearge Devine (biogrophy, Jonathan cape 1976) and theatre Criticism (routledgi 1992). Created two plays :the Houseboy (Open space thetre 1973) and faust at Elsinore (Theatre Clwyd 1991)
Studied at the Higher school of theatre in Krakow and he got a diploma in theatre sciences. Worked as a director in the experimental theatre (1985-2002) and he is running it now as a manager Directed about 30 theatre performances for many avant – garde theatre troupes. Amongst those performances are: Marriagem Noah s’ Arkm the Coatm revenge, judges…. Participated as an actor in a lot of experimental performances such as Oedipus the King, Don juan, Life is a Dream… Directed two movies: Meeting (1991) and Confusion (1996). Obtained some awards for his pioneering role in the domain of the polish experimental theatre.
A renowned theatre director . Studied directing in the national school in Milano from which he graduated in 1978. Started his career as an assistant director with Mourizio scaparro in la Biennale di Venezia and in Theatro alla Scala. He worked also as an assistant director in two movies :Don Chisciotte and La leggenda del santo bevitori. Oreste and many others. Founded the TEA in collaboration with the ETI in order to run the Umberto theatre in Uome. Co- authored a book intitled La leggenda del sauto bevitore dal libro al film. Was selected in 2002 as the artistic counselor for the International festival of Arts in Uome. Amongst his TV works are: Ana Magnani and La Partitella. Obtained the IDI award in 1991 for the works he directed during his whole career.
A remowned actress, playwright, director and teacher. Founding Artistic Director of Dell' Arte International, a resident ensemble with a 27-year history of collaborative creation and international touring. Directed several productions for the Dell' Arte Company, the Bloomsburg Ensemble, the Alley Theatre in Houston, The Independent Eye, Touchstone Ensemble and san Diego Repertory Theatre, where she directed Picasso at the Labin Agile (1999), Waiting for Godot (2000). As a principal member of the Dell' Arte acting company, she has toured widely the U.S and abroad. Co-austhored over a dozen plays for Dell' Arte and nine of her own. Amongst such plays are: The Weave (1996), Second Skin (2001), Animal Instinct (2003). Appeared as a guest artist in Yale Repertory (2003 season) presenting Macbeth, Medea, Cinderella. Director of the Dell' Arte International School of Physical Theatre , where she teaches commedia dell' arte, mask performance, movement, and melodrama. Created the physical Theatre Institute, a three-year project in collaboration with Humbloadt State University. Received TCG observership Grants to Brazil in 1994 and 1999 and also obtained critics' awards in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco for directing and acting. She was also featured in the March 2003 issue of Stage Directions Magazine as one of 9 important women in American Theatre.
A playwright, critic, translator and professor of literature and theatre. Obtained his B.A. from Al-Khartoum University, then he got his M.A. and Ph.D from the University of Bristol. Worked as a professor in the Department of English in the Faculty of Arts-Al-Khartoum University where he introduced a course of practical theatre in the 1970s. Dean of The Music and Theatre Institute (1977-1981). A Visiting Professor at the African Studies Centre, Cambridge University. Created a number of plays, amongst which are: Share' Al-Mahatta (Al-Mahatta Street), Kalam Rigal (Men's Talk), Ma Ra'yoka Fi Hazihi At-tasreeha? (What Do You think of this Hedeyyat Al-Ors (the Wedding Gift), Sinnar. Contributed to several newspapers such as: Al-Ra'y Al-Aam, Al-Sharq Al-Awssat, Al-Hayat and The Guardian.
Amongst his publications are: The Arab Theatre (1986), At-turaby's Islamic Enterprise (2000). He also translated Parts VII and VIII of The British Documents on Sudan(2002).
A famous playwright, actress and director. Founded 'Le Theatre du Binome' in 1985. Played the leading roles in several plays and movies such as: Todavia and Chercher la faute (2001), La double inconstance de Marivaux (2002). Directed a number of works like L'intervention (2002), Ecoute Guernica and Antigone (2003). Translated some works into English. She also wrote screenplays such as Le retour des cavaliers (2001).
An actress, choreographer and theatre director. Worked for many artistic, cultural and theatrical institutions and foundations such as the Regional Theatre of Annaba (1974-1976), Al-Kaala Theatre (1988-1993), the Algerian Television (1997-1996), the National Bureau of information and Culture (1999-2000), the National Bureau of Information and Culture (1999-2000), the National Enterprise of Audio-visual Production (1997-1998) and she is now the Director of the National Institute of Dramatic Art and choreograply. Co-founded a number of theatre troupes. Directed several performances such as: L'ours (1990), John Gobriel Borkman (1996), Nuit de divorce (2000). Played the major roles in a lot of performances, some of which are: Volpone (1975), Les bains (1978), Fatma (1989), Les mimoses d'Algerie (2002). Took part in a number of movies and TV series like: Les agresseurs (1975), Assia (1978). Rupture (1980), Fils de famille (1996), L'attente des femmes (2000). Participated in many international festivals in Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Syria, England and Greece. Obtained awards from the Cartage Festival in 1989 and 2001 and from Tunis City in 2001.
A pioneering theatre, movie and T.V actor. Joined the Highter institute of Theatre Arts in its first year and graduated in 1947. Immediately after his graduation he joined the Egyptian Acting Troupe (National Theatre) with which he took part in about 30 plays, the first of which was A Secondary-Stage Student. Participate in a number of plays produced by Naguib Ar-Rihany Troupe. Moved to Libya in 1967 and collaborated with the Libyan Folk Theatre to establish a purely Libyan theatre art. Amongst the performances he directed there were: Al-Bayt Al-Haram (The socred Mosque) and Al Bakheel (the Miser). Took part in about 125 movies, the first of which was awlaad Al-Shaware' (Vagabonds) in 1948. Played major roles in several TV series like: Ahlam Al-Fata At-Ta'er (Dreams of the Flying Guy), Khalty Safeyya wa Ad Dair (Aunite Safeyya and the Monastery), Aouraq Al-Ward (Leaves of Flowers). Took part in about 90 performances like Al-Osh Al-Hade' (The Quiet Nest), Crime and Punishment, Al-Mumes Al-Fadela (the Virtuous Prostitute), Thawrat Al-Mawta (Revolution Of the Dead), Al- Wad Sayyed Al-Shaghal (Sayyed, the Servant).
A writer, critic and professor of theatre. Specialized in studying theatre sciences and the German language and the German language and he got his Ph.D in 1964.
Amongst his academic posts are: a visiting professor at the University of Munich (1981-1982), an associate professor at the University president (1998-1999) and he is now the Dean of the school of Humanities.
Chairman of the International federation for Theatre Research FIRT (1987-1991), secretary-general of the Max Reinhardt Society (1986-95), President of the ITI Austria and chairman of the Poest, Playwrigws and Novelists Club since 2001. Amongst his publications are Maske und Kothuvn and Der Schauspielfyher.
After his graduation from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1960, he joined the Academy of Dramatic and Musical Arts in Prague. A teacher of acting and theories of music at the institute of Fine Arts. Manager of the National Acting Troupe and of the Iraqi theatres (1978-1982). He got to be the manager of the National Troupe of Folk Arts in 1987. Artistic Director of Babylon International Festival (1987-2003) and manager of the Babylon company of Movie and TV Production (1991-2001). Authored many articles and studies. Most of them were presented in different Arab and international festivals and conferences. He participated, for instance, in the Cairo international Festival for Experimental Theatre with a research entitled: "Experimentation in the Arab Theatre". Directed about 60 performances, some of which are Mako Shughl (No Work), Romeo and Juliet, Gozour Al-Hobb (Roots of Love).. Took part in many festivals in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Tunisia, France and the U.S. Participated in about 20 T.V. series and played the leading roles in 15 other ones. Got a number of prizes and awards from the Carthage International Festival and the Iraqi theatre festival and from various institutions
Awell-known writer, critic and journalist. Studied in Belgium, specializing in Greek-Latin humanities, them he joined Ghent Uninersity to study Germanic philology. Worked in the Belgian Radio and Television Corporation, Dutch-speaking section as a speaker presenting severel itens and programs, then he became in 1970 a producer of word-programs for the following 19 years. Presented for the radio and art magazing called "happenting" that was famous and broadly listened for its severe and well-argumented criticism. Was asked by De Morgen newspaper in 1989 to become its chief theatre critic.
