*          Full-time Professor in Art Psychology

*          She has obtained a Bachelor Degree in Art Education (1965). She also holds  

a Master’s Degree (1973) and a PhD in Child Drawing Psychology (1979).

*          Former Vice President of Helwan University.

*          Former Dean of the Art Education Faculty at Helwan University.

*          Comity President for the Specified Pedagogy and House Education Sector

the Higher Council of Universities.

*          Reporter for the Child’s Culture Comity at the Higher Council for Culture.

*          Former Reporter for the Permanent Scientific Comity for Promotions in the

Arts’ field.

*          Jury Member in the Suzanne Moubarak Award for Children’s Books.

*          Former Member of the Counselling Comity at the Childhood and Motherhood

National Council.

*          She has published around twenty essays on national and international scientific matters.

*          She has also participated with her research in numerous international scientific

Conferences. She has supervised 27 PhD theses and 53 Masters’ degrees.

Germany

 

*          Has studied Political Science in Munich.

*          Was a trainee in print and television media at the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation, Munich, Spinger News Service, New York and Lancit Media, New York.

*          Joined the Prix JEUNESSE International Foundation in 1994, first as a free lancer, then as personal assistance of the secretary general.

*          1998 became Prix JEUNESSE’s organization manager.

*          Since 2006 is the festival coordinator.

Over the last years has conducted many Prix JEUNESSE Suitcase workshops, introducing children’s television producers in all parts of the world to the festival for selection of quality programmes

DIANA ADNAN FARES - SYRIA

SCRIPTWRITER AND DIRECTOR

STUDIES

Diana Adnan Fares has graduated in Arabic Literature from Damascus University. She also obtained a BA in Directing from the Radio and Television Training Department at the Union of Arab Radios in 2003.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

-President of the Children's Texts department at the Film General Institute.

-She has written the scenario for an animated feature film called The Thread of Life. It has won the Golden Award from the Cairo International ChildrenFestival as well as the international jury award in 2007.

-She has written the scenario for the TV series A Warm Heart in 1999.

-A Tableau called Baby Sitter in the TV series titled Mirror Stories in 2000.

-Two Tableaux titled Out of Coverage and O Pharmacist in the TV series Mirrors (2000).

-She has wriiten the scenario for the Tv series A Woman in the Shadow (2003).

-A Children's TV series titled From Another World - 30 episodes.

-She has written the scenario for the TV feature For every Night.

-She has worked as assistant director in the following films: O The Sea (1993), Rain Rising (1994), Soul Breeze, A dream Vision and End of Life (2006).

-Scenario for a pending animated feature film with the temporary title Doves Journey.

-She has directed video clips, advertisments, patriot and women rights clips for television.

*          Got prizes from abroad as the FIPRESCI Award, and Henry Ford Award.

*          Her works have been screened in international festivals and museums.

*          More than 500 university library in USA and Europe have got her documentaries.

*          Studied at Wrexham School of Art and Design where he was awarded a First Class National Diploma.

 

*          Received a First Class BA (HONS) degree in graphic design (animation) at the University of Licolnshire and Humberside.

 

*          Studied animation direction at the National Film and Television School 2001-2003.

 

*          "Pensioner Penny" was his first project, which won best student animation in the National Royal Television Awards and the best animation at the Reel to Reel festival in Glasgow.

 

*          Was an artworker on the children's pilot for EBB& FLO and ST Denis, a cathedral animation project in the year 1999.

 

*          Animation assistant on "Joseph", the 2D Dream Works animated feature in 2000, on the "Smiths Crisps" series in 2001 and the "Irish Jobs" advert, both produced at NFTS.

 

*          Directed "Disco Pansy Scream"(30sec MTV Sting), "Cat Music" (1min 20 sec MTV ident), "Harold& Mabel" (1 min model animation) and "Willows", a commissioned title sequence for School Documentary.

 

*          Completed "Anna Spud" (10 min 2D animation), as a director, animator and co writer 2003.

 

*          Directed the animation series pilot "The Village People", produced by The Illuminated Film Company 2003.

ABC Television, CBS Television, ABC Cable Networks Group, Toon Diseny, Jetix, Aptiv Digital, Buena Vista Television, the Carsey-Werner Company, Fox, Warner Bros, and many others.

*          Founded an advertising agency, Bill& Ted's Excellent Ad Ventures, Inc.1995.

*          Wrote and produced On-Air promotional campaigns for; Cosby-Roseanne, The Wire, High School Musical, and That 70's Show.

*          In 1999 founded Gorilla Pictures to develop feature films for the domestic and international markets.

*          Founded the Golden Rule Entertainment, as a family brand for quality kids programming in 2007.

*          His recent works include, "The Legend of Sasquatch ", 2007, won "Best Animation Feature" award at the 2007, International Family Festival and received the prestigious Dove Foundation Seal of Family

Approval in USA./ "Soft Target", released by Lions Gate Entertainment 2007./"The Last Sentinel" showed on Sci-Fi Networks-NBC Universal in 2007./ "Sci-Fighter" in 2004.
