Dave Unwin began working as an assistant animator in 1970. Since then, he has continued to work in the animation industry, concentrating on directing, storyboarding, and scriptwriting. In 1992, Dave started Jumping Jack Productions with his wife, Catrin, which has an extensive list of award-winning projects. Amongst these projects is War Boy (2005), which has won several awards and prizes at festivals worldwide and was even shortlisted to the last 10 at the Academy Awards in 2000. The television feature Willows in Winter (1996) was also awarded at the Prime Time Emmy Awards. Adaptations of Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows (1995), Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies and Mrs. Tittlemouse (1994) and The Tale of Tom Kitten and Jemima Puddleduck (1992/3), and Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas (1991/2), were also award-winning projects for Jumping Jack Productions.

 Dharmasena Pathiraja

Dharmasena Pathiraja has experience in directing television dramas and feature films that have been screened and awarded at film festivals all over the world. He has also produced approximately 30 documentaries for national and international organizations, which were awarded both nationally and internationally. His documentaries focus on issues of land reforms, coast conservation, local community projects, and the homeless. Other projects include a documentary on the recent Tsunami disaster, The Wave, and Punaravarthana (Rejuvenation), made for the United Nations Environmental Program. Dharmasena has been internationally credited; he received the Golden Lion life time award for his contribution to Sri Lankan Cinema in 2000 and has had a retrospective screening of his films at the 2003 Singapore International Film Festival.

Hannah Fisher

Hannah Fisher is an entrepreneurial executive director with experience in the management of Canadian and international film festivals, art projects, and events. Amongst her most notable achievements is the production and management of a Kenyan Women’s Film Festival, organized as part of the United Nations End of Decade Conference for Women, which resulted in the establishment of an international distribution company for films produced and directed by women. She also conceived CINEFAIR, a Pacific Rim and Asian Market/Festival, aimed at stimulating sales, co-productions, and technological exchange between East and West. Her work with film festivals includes the Dubai International Film Festival in UAE and the Floating Film Festival, where she worked with a team of film critics including Robert Ebert. Amongst her other achievements is the development of training programs for producers, directors, and writers, and a blueprint for a multi-screen cinema center.

Alabbas Bin Abbas

Alabbas Bin Abbas, a Saudi Arabian national, is the General Manager of Alsahar Animation. He has previously worked as executive director for many animated series. Alabbas is a member of the International Center of Films for Children and Young People, based in Montreal, Canada, and the Animation World Network. He is also the Treasurer of the Egyptian Animation Society. At the 7th Festival of Gulf States, Alabbas was a jury member. He has also worked as adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Alabbas’ educational background is in the fields of science and computing, and his thesis in Engineering Administration at George Washington University was on Animated Decision Support Systems.

Gulbahar Singh

Gulbahar Singh made his first film, Weeds, in 1980. Since then, he has made a number of award-winning films. Gulbahar has also made a documentary on the life and works of the writer Munshi Premchand and feature films that have been internationally screened and award-winning in countries such as Russia, Egypt, Czech Republic, China, Britain, Hawaii, Iran, Canada, and India. His children’s film, The Goal, won the Golden Lotus Award for Best Children’s Film at the National Film Festival and the Cairo International Children’s Film Festival. His other feature film, Dattak (The Adopted), was the only entry from India at the Shanghai International Film Festival in China. Apart from feature films, Gulbahar has also made telefilms and teleserials on various subjects and has served as jury member at various Indian film festivals.

Eleni

Eleni is the director of the Gorilla Cinema Production Company, which primarily focuses on education, young people and human rights issues. One Gorilla's films, 2Be (2003), deals with issues of citizenship and was selected to compete for the UNICEF award in 2004 amongst only four international films. Eleni has also written, produced, and directed a television series, several shorts, and animations, in both Greece and Britain. She partly manages the free educational and community screenings for the Gorilla Solar Powered Mobile Cinema, which provides a unique distribution method for independent films, educational, and community projects. Eleni has worked in educational areas as well; she has designed courses for adult’s filmmaking training and has developed short film projects with young cancer patients at the Children’s Hospital and children excluded from schools.

Georges Bahgory

·       He is a long artistic political story started from Bahgor village in Upper Egypt till he reached Paris.

·       He is one of the most prominent painters in Egypt.

·       The story's hero never stops creating whatever happens.

·       His first step was his birth in Bahgor village, 1932.

·       He graduated from Plastic Arts College in Cairo, 1955.

·       His papers and all his dear tools accompany him everywhere.

·       He held more than hundred exhibitions all over the world.

·       Fifteen of his paintings are welcomed by Museum of Modern Art in Egypt.

·       Two of his paintings are exhibited in Leman Museum in France.

·       Five Paintings are displayed in National Museum in Amman, Jordan.

·       Three Paintings are dear guests in Aseila Museum, Morocco.

·       He won numerous international awards, including Best Portrait Painter Award in the world in Spain, 1990.

·       Any one can watch his collections in " Bahgory Museum" in Alexandria.

·       He has two ateliers, in Cairo and Paris.

·       Bahgory never won any local award in his country.

·       She fulfilled her M.A. in Children Journalism.

·       She worked in children culture's career for more than thirty years.

·       After her graduation she joined " Dar Al-Maaref ", one of the greatest publish houses in the Middle East.

·       Few years later Afaf occupied the position of manager of children literature's department.   

·       Then she became the editor-in-chief of the famous series" Detective Stories for Children".

·       She wrote more than two hundred books for children.

·       Most of them are published in Egypt and Lebanon.

·       Her long list of books includes " Zarif Adventures", " Pharaonic Stories" and " Tales in the Forest".  

·       She participates in international book fairs in Germany and Italy.

·       Afaf participates also in countless national and international seminars and conferences.
