Tribute to the American Creative Artist

 

Mary Ann Dudko is the Vice President of Content Development for HIT Entertainment. She and her team provide consultation, support, and research services for such renowned children’s television shows as Barney and Friends, Bob the Builder, Thomas and Friends, and Angelina Ballerina, as well as other HIT Entertainment productions. She has also authored and co-authored over 30 books for Barney Publishing, for whom she began working for in 1991. Mary Ann’s educational background is in child development and her occupational background is in teaching at the preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, and graduate level. She frequently gives presentations to early childhood educators and media professionals as well as serving as juror for international children’s television festivals.

Yonis Shalaby

Tribute to the Egyptian Actor

 

 

The comedian actor "Yonis Shalaby" graduated at the High Institute  of Theatrical Arts in the age of 20, and soon was picked up by the cinema, theatre and TV producers owe to his unique talents.

Yonis is an actor with baby face' features and movements, and a remarkable way of pronunciation which make him a combination of the two great comedians "Ibrahim Safan" and "Abdel Monaem Ibrahiem", though they are unique in their styles of acting.

 

His big success began when he joined the cast of the very famous play "The School of the Pranks", where he played the role of the student who has nothing in his brain and too much in the heart, completely the contrast of his father the headmaster of the school.

 

Afterwards, Yonis performed many successful roles in many other plays, as ' The Children Have Grown Up".

In movies , Yonis worked with the best directors at the time being ,as ,

In TV. Series he played many human roles which gained him admiration along the whole Arab world , especially his role with the great actor "Fouad Al-mohandis", and the famous actress "Sana Gamil" where he played the character of "Hairam", the young honest lawyer.

 

He participated with the actress "Hala Fakher" in the famous Puppet Show :"Boggy and Tamtam", directed by the former great director "Rahmy".

Dezeree Farah

Tribute to the Lebanese  Producer & Author

 

 

Dezereh Farah is a producer, write, lyrics' writer and singer who is  interested in the world of the children in so many ways that make her a true activist for a better life for the children.

She got a Diploma in Children Pedagogical' Sciences , then appointed as the Supervisor of the children' circuit in the Lebanese Broadcasting  Foundation during the period: 1993 – 2001.

During this period, and before  she was writing,  preparing  and introducing programs such as :

 

A House, Houses : 1986 – 1989

It's the bed time : 1989 – 1991

Didi and Jojo : 1991 – 1992

How and Why : 1993 – 2001

 

She also writes the following series prepared for the children :

Your Fest is the greatest : 2003 – 2004

Drama : 2003 – 2005

 

For the theatre she produced, wrote and performed the following :

Abra kadbra : 1995

The Four Seasons : 1997

The Tales' Book : 2002 – 2003

The Story of the Year : 2004 – 2005

For the radio, she introduced :

Pipes Show ( The Voice of Tomorrow ) : 2002 – 2005

She founded ( Didi Group ) For Art Production in the year 2003, to be able to achieve her dreams in a more intimate fashion.

 

Dezereh has also participated in many conferences and festivals to share her experience with her colleagues in the whole world.

In this field she attended the conferences about The Child's Rights

In the yeas 1995, 1996, 1997.

She also attended the conference held by the BBC in London for the children' programs.

She is also keen to attend the Arab festivals when possible, to be aware of the great steps made lately in the field of the children' media.

Samira Shafiq Kozman

Tribute to the Egyptian Children book Writer

 

 

 

*          The writer and journalist Samira Shafiq kozman was born in 1936 and graduated at the faculty of law, Ain Shams University in 1967. After Graduation she worked as a judicial investigator in the ministry of culture, but soon left her job to go to Paris where she found a job in a pedagogical institute and at the same time as a correspondent for the famous Cairo magazine "Sabah Elkhair".

*          This judicial, pedagogical and journalistic base form the start point of her creative world as a writer for the children.

*          When came back home, she joined Dar El-Hilal journalistic institution and took the post of Editorial Manager of the monthly children magazine "Micky - Pocket".

*          She began her creative work by writing in the weekly Arabic famous magazine, "Maged" with " The Adventures of Shams and Dana" that last till now.

 

*          She found her own way in writing through these characters she created on the white pages, so, introduced the three children "Hmmam, Zaghlol and Rommana" for the Arabic monthly magazine, "The Young Arabian" issued in Kuwait.

 

*          Later she began writing stories for the children in books ,

an experience which led her to acclaim Susan Mubarak Prize for the child's literature in the year 2000, for her book : An Aragouz Story.

*          She already has six books  in her account, "An Aragouz Story", "If You Were a King", " A Story of a Public Soultan", "An Invitation To Paris", "The Secret of the Boat" and "The Sun and the Moon".

*          She got the Prize of Excellency, for her book "If You Were a King" in the year 2002.

Hala Fakher

Tribute to the Egyptian Actress

 

 

*          Hala Fakher was born on the 8th of June 1946, in an artistic house, as her father is the former great actor Fakher Fakher.

*          So, she began her career so early in the age of eleven by as a small role in "Hasan Elimam" movie, "I'll Never Weep" with the famous actress Fatin Hamama and the former actor Emad Hamdy. After graduation in the American University in Cairo, she played in two successive movies with the same great director.

*          "Hasan Elimam", A Woman on the side way" in ( 1963 ) and " Between The Two Palaces" in ( 1964).

 

*          Though this early and prominent very early step, she walks quietly along the road of acting , and very seldom when she acted two movies in a year, as we can see from any part of her journey.

 

1966 : My wife is a General Manager, directed by Fatin

1967 : Kasr ElShouq,  directed by Hasan Elimam.

1968 : My Wife's Ghost , directed by Fatin Abdel Wehab.

*          She was one important element in the great success of the famous puppet show " Boogy and Tamtm ", played by her and Yonis Shalaby through her spontaneous, childish and great performance.
